The Annual Charles Lafitte Golf Classic reflects the organization’s philosophy: demonstrating how individuals can work (or play) together and inspire each other to achieve common goals.
Since the first tournament in 2003, more than $5 million has been raised; each year the proceeds benefit a single non-profit organization.
Suzanne Citron identifies the charity recipient, including site visits to the finalists before making their final determination. Since 2007, the Citron’s daughter Kyra Citron has joined them. During a follow-up lunch or dinner at her favorite restaurant, she reveals her own selection and the reasons behind it, which has always matched the leaders’ own decision.
