First Tee Receives $1 Million gift from Charles Lafitte Foundation

Charles Lafitte Foundation (CLF) is proud to announce that it has gifted $1 million to First Tee, a charitable initiative focused on youth development.

CLF’s donation will help First Tee continue its mission of providing life-changing opportunities for young people from all walks of life. Their gift will benefit First Tee – Treasure Coast serving the youth of Martin and St. Lucie Counties and First Tee as a national organization impacting students across the country through multiple initiatives.

As Trustees, Jeffrey and Suzanne Citron are committed to helping First Tee grow and expand its reach for even more young individuals to benefit from the programs offered at First Tee.

“Our Charles Lafitte Foundation is committed to helping children reach their full potential. From my own experience as a golfer, I know firsthand the impact golf can make in someone’s life. Golf instills self-confidence, perseverance, and integrity at a young age. Values that are critical for our future generations to learn. After learning of the work First Tee was doing to impact the lives of children, my wife and I knew we wanted to be a part of it.”– Jeffrey Citron, founder of CLF

Since its inception in 1997, First Tee has impacted the lives of over 16 million young people worldwide. First Tee’s programs and events don’t just teach young people how to play golf, they also help build character and develop essential life skills that will last a lifetime.

“Jeff and Suzanne’s generous gift could not have come at a better time. First Tee and the game of golf is experiencing incredible growth in every segment of society. Their support will help us grow and expand to impact the lives of thousands of young people in the Treasure Coast.”– Andrew Hunt, First Tee Chapter President & Trustee

CLF is committed to helping children reach their fullest potential, and our donation to First Tee is one way we are doing that. We are proud to support an organization that is making such a positive impact on the lives of young children. Thank you, First Tee, for all that you do!
